Wander Type Project

St Croix, USVI

The COVID-19 Pandemic has restricted people to staying at home to prevent the spread and help flatten the curve. Because of this, most people’s travel plans have been put on hold or cancelled. Luckily, we live in a digital era where you can experience different places virtually through applications and websites like Google Street View.

The beauty of St. Croix cannot be fully captured through Google Street View. Once this pandemic is over, I encourage everyone to travel there and see for themselves.

About the Author: Skylyr Jade VanDerVeer

Getting involved at my Jersey Shore high school’s student news station ignited my passion for the communications field. I was always a creative kid, taking tons of photos on my Barbie Camera and performing in plays and musicals. Since then, I’ve been writing, editing and taking pictures whenever possible.

I am currently studying strategic communication and graphic design at Nova Southeastern University. I am a sister of the Delta Iota Chapter of Sigma Delta Tau as well as a member of the NSU Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America. I aspire to turn my creative hobbies as a child into my future career.
