This project is part of my professor Miriam Ahmed’s Wander Type book series. I really enjoyed playing League of Legends and looking at the art in the game with a new perspective. I learned a lot about type, art, design and the game in the process.
While collecting the different letters in the game, I tried to use champions as much as possible. I challenged myself to create letters by combining spells and attacks in special patterns that look like letters.
I hope that you, the reader, will enjoy all 26 letters that I have found and that this book will inspire you to try and see the world and games from a different perspective.
About the Author: Ray Skorb
Hello, my name is Ray Skorb.
I am a Computer Game Design student from Germany currently studying at George Mason University Korea. League of Legends is the reason why I am studying this degree and is the one game I have played more than any other.
Because of this, I wanted to create something special for it in my typography class. Over the course of several weeks, I went onto the Summoners Rift in order to find artistic elements that resembled letters from the English alphabet.
