Wander Type: Overwatch 2 is a book created by Jaehyun Kim after first encountering typography in a university course and becoming captivated by its appeal. She explored ways to merge her love for games and fashion, beginning with discovering new forms of letters in the objects within her favorite game, Overwatch 2. She connects a total of 50 new letters — 26 from the English alphabet and 24 from the Korean script — with fashion brands. These letter-brand pairings reflect not only similar colors but also shared atmospheres and styles. Through this, she attempts a rebranding by blending the worlds of gaming and fashion. Wander Type: Overwatch 2 introduces a fresh perspective on viewing non-typographic objects as typography, showcasing her unique point of view and reinterpretation of both the game and fashion worlds. The overall style of the book takes the form of a fashion magazine, reflecting her personal design aesthetic.
