Here’s your revised summary with updated tense while keeping all sentences intact:
I was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia, where I have lived all my life. I grew up with technology, which was introduced in the early 2000s, just when cellphones were new. In this book, I reflect on how “Brawl Stars” became a part of my life growing up. It is associated with the Supercell company, responsible for creating similar games such as “Clash of Clans” and “Clash Royale.” When I was in middle school in 2019, I received my very first iPhone XR, which, at the time, I did not know how to use for communication purposes. I stumbled upon an advertisement on YouTube, which quickly drew my attention. I fell in love with the game due to its 3D design and the unique styles of the typographic characters. I photographed specimens of each game character. As the game progressed with updates over the years, introducing new, cool skins, I played and gained thousands of trophies in ranks, competing with others around the world or just playing for fun.
When more features and future battle characters were constantly introduced to the game, I experienced the evolving designs of character skins, emotes, sprays, attack animations, winning or losing poses after playing a game mode, and more.
Each typeface specimen features similarities and differences depending on what character you play, along with the skins and different game modes. Although the designs of game character skins are not accurately aligned with fonts, most of the cropped pictures are associated with American alphabets and Korean vowels with consonants. Even though I was not able to research game specimens of “Brawl Stars” online, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be the first typographer for this game.
Throughout my five-year journey with the “Brawl Stars” game, I hope you take the chance to indulge in one of the most popular mobile games of all time as you scroll through my book pages.
